Open German Youth Shogi Championships 2025
in the age groups U12, U15, and U18.

Date: May 4th, 2025
Venue: Rödelheimer Bahnweg 31, 60489 Frankfurt am Main, Germany
The Open German Youth Shogi Championship will be held in the age groups U12, U15, and U18. Eligible for participation are all children and adolescents born after the following deadlines:
- U12 - born on or after January 1st, 2013,
- U15 - born on or after January 1st, 2010,
- U18 - born on or after January 1st, 2007.
For the verification of birth dates, we kindly ask all participants to have an official document ready during on-site registration.
German citizenship is not required for participation. In each age group, the best participant residing permanently in Germany will be awarded the title "German Youth Shogi Champion 2025".
Schedule: On-site registration until 10:00 a.m., first round at 10:15 a.m., award ceremony around 4:00 p.m.
Tournament format: Swiss system, 6 rounds; Time control: 20 min + 40 sec Byoyomi
Prizes: Trophies for the top players in each age group

(Registration by a legal guardian is required).
Registration deadline: extended to May 1st, 2025 - 10 p.m.
Entry fee: 15 EUR, for members of Shogi Deutschland 12 EUR
Scoring: Tournament results will be forwarded to FESA (Federation of European Shogi Associations) for ELO evaluation.
Youth Hostel: Shogi Deutschland is a member of the German Youth Hostel Association (Deutsches Jugendherbergswerk).
If you are interested in staying overnight at the Frankfurt Youth Hostel, Shogi Deutschland
can book a place for you. Participants are responsible for covering the cost of accommodation themselves.
